Leaders of the plastic and rubber industries will converge in Singapore
from 12 to 15 March 2002 for ASEANPLAS, the International Trade Fair
for Plastics and Rubber. This four-day exhibition has attracted some
300 exhibiting companies from 20 countries including national group
participation from Austria, Germany, Italy and Malaysia.
Since
its inception in 1995 and based on its track record, ASEANPLAS is
today unquestionably the leading and most authoritative platform for
the plastic and rubber industries in Southeast Asia. Held triennially
in Singapore, this reputable plastics and rubber trade fair has a
strategic fit in the global trade fair calendar for the industries
it serves.
Business and trade professionals from the region who are related to
industries such as packaging, fabrication, electrical & electronics,
medical & health, automotive, building & construction, household goods,
furniture, appliances and leisure goods should not miss the opportunity
to visit the show. It is the region’s only plastics and rubber trade
fair that offers a very comprehensive showcase of practical solutions
for cost effective production and processing.

Exhibitors will collectively showcase a wide range of products for
plastics and rubber ranging from resins, stabilizers, additives, extrusion
and molding machines, converting, waste management systems to ancillary
equipment such as hoppers, dryers and mixers. Many new products and
innovations will also be on display.
A great deal of effort has been made in promoting ASEANPLAS 2002 and
through the assistance and support of the ASEAN Federation of Plastic
Industries, both exhibitors and visitors will stand to gain from their
participation. To meet with the growing demands, research, development
and technology are needed to develop these markets further. Exhibitors
at ASEANPLAS 2002 have taken a step further by organizing technical
seminars dealing on topics such as new technology, applications and
productivity improvement.
ASEANPLAS is a project by the ASEAN Federation of Plastic Industries
(AFPI) and hosted by the Singapore Plastic Industry Association. It
is endorsed by the Singapore Trade Development Board under its Approved
International Trade Fair programme and supported by the following:
