National Groups
Through the years, HOSPIMedica ASIA has received very good support from national groups from
all over the world. At the 2002 show, other that the groups mentioned below, there will be
national group representation from Germany and Pakistan as well.
AUSTRIA
AUSTRIAN FEDERAL ECONOMIC CHAMBER
The total Austrian market for healthcare equipment is close to 650
million US$. Exports of medical instruments alone amounted to approximately US$230 million and a
further 100 million of orthopaedic apparatus. This constitutes only a part of the international
activities of Austrian companies in the healthcare sector. They provide an extensive spectrum
comprising turnkey hospitals, offering complete solutions for both hard and software, medical
equipment packages, upgrading/refurbishing of healthcare facilities, technical management and
hospital information systems.
Several Austrian companies will be represented at the group-stand
at HOSPIMedica ASIA 2002, offering laboratory equipment, blood-collection systems, microscopes,
hospital management systems etc. Austria will also participate in the ASIA-INVEST medical

BELGIUM
HOSPIBEL
BELGIUM at HOSPIMedica ASIA 2002
The Belgian pavilion is organized by the association Hospibel.
Hospibel is an export club of Belgian companies active in supplying goods and services for
medical and hospital purposes. Hospibel was founded by manufacturers desiring to promote Belgian
expertise in these areas abroad. Hospibel’s objective is to bring the most competent Belgian
manufacturers, consultants and other entrepreneurs in the medical and hospital sectors together
in order to encourage and sustain their exports. Considered as a whole, their product range
cover most of the needs of the present medical world. The Belgian companies that are participating
to HOSPIMedica ASIA are:
FINLAND
FINPRO
The Finland Pavilion welcomes all visitors interested in Finnish healthcare products which are
known for their high quality and innovativeness. The Pavilion presents several interesting
companies, demonstrating the versatility of the Finnish health care business.
- PENSI RESCUE offers pre-hospital and emergency products for effective
patient care in industry, sport events, ships and in ambulances and
patient transport vehicles. PENSI products include stretchers and
accessories, platforms and receivers, chairs and aluminium cases etc.
- WIPAK MEDICAL is one of the leading packaging companies,specialised in medical packaging
applications. The main group of products is the see-through pouches and rolls, marketed
under the well-known and appreciated STERIKING brand name.
- INNOKAS MEDICAL offers the PTC Product line, which is a modular series of physiotherapy
treatment units for physiotherapy professionals.
- HANKINTATUKKU provides health food supplements and natural remedies. The range includes
tablets, capsules, herbal extracts, liquids and natural cosmetics.
FRANCE
FRENCH BUSINESS CENTRE
More than seven French companies and their managers from France
came under the French pavilion at HOSPIMedica ASIA 2000, and took the opportunity of this great
gathering to develop their business network in Asia. The French Business Centre of Singapore
aims to help French companies to develop business in Asia.
The FBC feels that HOSPIMedica ASIA
2002, being the largest medical exhibition in Asia, is a good investment for companies to
prepare their Asian development. For the 2002 edition some of the companies registered

NRW FEDERATION OF CHAMBERS
Making its third appearance at HOSPIMedica ASIA, the German pavilion is co-ordinated by the
NRW Federation of Chambers. NRW or North Rhine-Westphalia is Germany's premier pharmaceutical
location and a base for global players in the fields of medical engineering, pharmaceuticals,
biotechnology and services. The state is also the number one region for biotech startups.

Korea Medical Instruments Industrial Cooperative (KMIC) was established to enhance mutual
benefits through joint programs and projects and to promote autonomous business activities among
members.

FENIN: The Spanish Healthcare Thermometer
The Spanish Federation of Healthcare Technology
Companies (FENIN) groups more than 300 firms from the medical equipment sector in Spain,
national and multinational firms, big and small, manufacturing and exporting, importing and
distributing firms, and represents all their interests in front of the competent Organisms and
Institutions in health matters.
FENIN is a member of different European organisations: EUCOMED (European Confederation of
Medical Devices Associations), EDMA (European Diagnostics Manufacturers Association), FIDE
(Federation of the European Dental Industry), ADDE (Association of Dental Dealers in Europe) and
COCIR (Coordination Committee of the Radiological and Electromedical Industries).
The industrial sectors represented by FENIN are: Electromedicine, In Vitro diagnostic,
