GNEUSS KUNSTSTOFFTECHNIK GMBH Quality Products from up to 100% Bottle Flake Case Examples of A-Pet Sheet, Filament and NON-Woven Fibres In an extremely competitive environment, and with a good supply of PET bottle flake available, major cost savings can be made. The biggest savings of all can be made by taking the challenging step of reprocessing bottle flake directly to a high value finished product, cutting out the intermediate step of pelletising. The paper will use case examples to show how, with the pressure and process - constant melt filtration system RSFgenius, it is possible to efficiently manufacture high value, high quality sheet and fibre products from bottle flake which can compete with those made from virgin material. For more information, please contact: Mrs Gneuss
PLASTICS AND RUBBER INSTITUTE (SINGAPORE) “Fundamentals Of Plastic Materials And Processes” The workshop is designed for personnel currently involved in plastics and plastics-related industries, especially those who are in non-technical areas and is recommended either as a refresher course for qualified people or for plastic sales, marketing and management professionals who do not possess an engineering or scientific background. The two half-day sessions will highlight the fundamental properties and applications of various plastic materials and the effects of additives. Some basic concepts of polymer science will be introduced and it will be shown, through the use of material specification data sheets, how these can be used to predict certain characteristics of the material . Major processing techniques will also be reviewed to give the participants a broad knowledge of fabrication methods for plastic products. For more information, please contact: Dr Phil Adams
